The Haunted Maze - Sasha C

The Haunted Maze

It was just about 12:00 A.M. when my friends and I reached the driveway to the Haunted Maze. We all started to get very frightened, along with the many others walking up to the line to enter. We finally got in. It was now about 12:15 A.M. As we entered we had to sign a waiver so that the Haunted Maze would not be responsible for death or injuries, we got really scared. I already had a disgusted feeling as we learned it was a full moon.

As we entered, there were 15 of us. Having so many in our group we stayed really close so we wouldn't lose each other. While wondering through the middle of the maze, we started to hear noises. Knowing people were going to jump out at us, we started to freak. My friend Andrea and I were crying, we didn’t know what it was. We were in the back of the line with one person, Cameron behind me to end the line. As we started to run to catch up with the rest of the group we heard them scream. A man, in a black werewolf mask jumped out at my friend Lexxy and her boyfriend. She started to scream. The man in the mask had a knife and was holding it up to peoples neck. When Andrea saw that she freaked out and said, "Sasha! We have to get out of here!"

With that being said, we did just that. We ran, the complete wrong direction through the maze. Andrea and I had no clue where we were, other than in some little town in North Dakota. We started walking hand in hand through the maze. We were off trail and the corn was really tall, so tall you could barely see the trees surrounding the maze. Stepping of branches and stalks of corn that had fallen we started to get scared. Not knowing where we were. I started to feel like something was following us. Not wanting to look back I asked Andrea if she heard something behind us. Not wanting to answer, she quietly exclaimed. Yes!

We started to walk faster until we were walking so fast we started to sprint through the corn. Something was still following us! Getting more nervous I had enough guts to look behind me while we ran. Then, I stopped. Something had stopped as well, and was looking straight at us. It was not very recognizable, until all of a sudden someone said Help! Not knowing what to do, Andrea looked at me and said "What is it?"

We were both so confused. As we got up closer, we recognized it was our friend Richard. He had been bitten by something. He had scratches all over her neck and his forehead had a huge gash from the bite. Richard was freaking, "I just got attacked by a wolf!"

"What! A wolf, Okay, we need to get you some help." I exclaimed.

"Wait! Is it safe for us to get out of here? We don’t know where the wolf is." Andrea stated.

"Let’s go back on the same path and go back to the entrance." I said.

So that’s what we did. When we got back we found out that the rest of our group was out of the maze. They ran after what they thought was a wolf was following them. Soon to let them know it really was a wolf. We got Richard to the hospital to let them know that he had been bitten by a wolf. Andrea and I knew something was going to happen that night, not only were we freaked because we were going into a haunted corn field, we were frightened of the full moon.

Never the less, we never went back to that place again, and never went to anything haunted again on a full moon night.
