Elonaet of Kaylaen
Rhiannan H
Grade 7
There was once a prince named Elonaet Haertiyhk Kaeyliyn. He was the most skilled warrior in all of the land of Kaylaen. Even though he was only about the age of 21, he was still the best. He had three swords that were crafted just for him. He called them Lillithy, Corvaen, and the last and his favorite, Rikalinae.
The power of Lillithy was great when you needed to fight against a demon with wind attacks. Lillithy could counter react all of the wind attacks that were supposed to be used Elonaet. Lillithy would also use a very rare technique called Havadi’Relacani. That move would slay even the most aggressive demons with their own attack 7 score.
All Elonaet had to do was strike Corvaen into the ground and 200 miles around Corvaen would disintegrate around Corvaen! Corvaen had other moves not as powerful, but close. One of the moves that were strong was called Sivancly, would gather all of the strength left in its owner if they were on the verge of dying would slice through the ground and split the demon into over a billion pieces of flesh and blood. But the demon wouldn’t die quickly. The demon would be sliced through in a matter of hours just screaming in agony from the pain and suffering while Elonaet would just sit there laughing and mocking him on how he shouldn’t have even bothered battling him.
Finally, Elonaet’s favorite sword, Rikalinae is his favorite for one reason. To Elonaet, she was his first and only love and nothing could ever change his feelings for it. Rikalinae had many powers and all of them end in the same way…death. Elonaet used the Amhand of the Mist. That attack was a line of attack worse than death to any creature of any kinds… When it would strike, all you could feel was your limbs being torn to shreds, then it would slowly and painfully work it’s way up to your torso and rip all of your intestines, heart, kidney, and whatever you could think of. Then all of a sudden, you lay there motionless only your eyes moving about to see your last glimpse of daylight and the wonderful world you had once known. Then all of a sudden you see a dark green boot step in front of your face and then you see nothing but darkness. The last words you heard were, “You stupid, stupid fool. You shall never see the light of day or breathe another breath of air again for this will be the last time you do. I told you that you would regret ever battling with me.”
The swords Elonaet possesses are just as powerful as he is and when Elonaet taps into the true power, he is undefeatable. Not even his parents stand a chance if they battle him when he is at most power. His parents are the most strongest you can ever get too.
Then, one day when Elonaet was practicing his bow and arrow skills when he was distracted by a noise in the woods nearby. The sound sounded like an enemy had approached like the fortune teller had said.
“Your most powerful enemy will strike when you’re least expecting it. You son, Elonaet, will be practicing one skill that even he is not very sharp at. They will act like animals do when they hunt down their prey, silently and confidently that they will catch you off guard. But you must be ready for that day. Even if you have to give up everything you are doing in the kingdom, you will have to prepare an army with all your best archers, swordsmen, warriors, and even the secret weapon, Juiol. One and only one species will be left standing when this battle, more like war, takes place. Only this time, the enemy will have far more allies fighting alongside them than they ever have had before. So watch your backs and stand proud of your kingdom.”
All of those words were racing through Elonaet’s head when the dreaded sound had come again only it was closer this time. He ran as fast as he could as if his life depended on it to his mother and father, but before he had set off running, he had dropped one of his arrows on the ground that had his family’s coat of arms that was depicted by an eagle holding a katana and a one of a kind sword that was beyond his or his father’s memory. To the enemy of Gatyuot, this was just what he needed for the potion his potions master to make a concoction for all of Elonaet and his family to be brought down. But, Elonaet had picked up the wrong arrow case and picked up one of the enemy’s arrow cases instead so, the thief had really killed his own allies and covenant.
Elonaet had reached his parent’s castle in a matter of seconds because of his speed. He headed swiftly straight to his parent’s throne room and told about when he was practicing bow and arrow the he had heard a strange noise and rushed back to the castle. Every time Elonaet had paused to put the idea right into his parent’s head, his father, Jolenaet, and his mother, Natha’ Layfa, had been very interested in their son’s experience.
Jolenaet had then marched to his quarters and started making decrees about having all of the warriors from each village under his control from the ages of 14-21. Not any younger or any older, because at about the ages of 14-21 that is when they are at the best at your skills when they are an elf of the night. They can do well in the sunlight, but when you are in the dead of night is when they are deadliest. Almost no creature stands a chance against them when the moon is out. But if the moon is taken away by killing the humans that the moon has become because it got lonely in the sky by itself and the chiefs of the stars became humans as well, but no one knows of their whereabouts.
“So the Moon and Stars became humans and they are still amongst us and we only have one clue to where they are and it is hidden within our family, the Kaeyliyn clan of Moon elves, the one of many first elves to roam this planet. Every few hundred years we change the place using our Elvin magic to replace all the spot where we hid it before with a fake one. This is the time that we need it most of all our desperate times combined. We shall need to sacrifice the person it is hidden upon. Elonaet, he is to be the sacrificed one, but we can do it in another manner. We shall slice open his heart but the scroll must be taken out by tonight’s end or he die from the demonic aura that surrounds it. We shall have to do it right now or my son will die.”
All of this is going through Jolenaet’s head at the same time.
His choice is made and he, himself, will operate on his son to get the scroll that will tell him of where the moon and stars are. That scroll is vital if he wants his family and allies to keep their lives from their worst enemy, the Werewolves.
Many of the Elven people have lost their lives to attacks from these vicious beasts. They have been attacking us ever since Elonaet had slain their King about 50 years ago. Elonaet was at his knees when he was at the near ending of his battle. He had to call upon the sword of Rikalinae and had to summon all of his strength to summon Amhand of the Mist. He had sat there watching the King fall to his opponent and see his limbs, intestines, and the last bit of his head. All that was left was absolutely nothing. Nothing. Nothing was left of his opponent. To Elonaet, he was the only real battle and he has never battled anyone else harder or more skilled than the King of werewolves.
Now they have come to avenge his death in hope that they will win triumphantly. But they have forgotten about Juiol. She was the worst thing next to Elonaet you will ever meet.
Juiol will let you see her face then, she will rip it off. You will still be able to see, but you can no longer talk, breath, or even move a muscle in your face until you die. Juiol will eat your face in front of you and she will chop off your hands, then feet, then she will completely tear off your limbs and eat them in front of you as you perish under her wrath. If you try to run away, she will catch you even before you can beg for your miserable life. She will spare at the most 2 in her battles because they are either her family or they have helped her in the past before she found Jolenaet. She is a master at archery. She can shoot up to five arrows at a time and hit all of your main arteries in a single shot. In appearance she is very beautiful and she never talks until you are on the verge of death. She sounds like a Derfav. A Derfav is a bird that sings a sweet sound and sounds so innocent, until it is threatened, but it still sounds sweet. Juiol looks like a Theqop, or an angel. She has a silver color of hair, that is about knee length and when in battle she has it braided and put into a fancy bun that doesn’t come out unless magic is used, and deep green eyes that pierce and male elves that she is a nice elf except when in battle.
Juiol sounds just like that and then she mocks you on how you should never underestimate a female elf and that just because she has the strength to defeat you that you should still have never come in contact with her. She even spits on you if you have lived long enough for her to finish what she is saying while muttering, “You stupid ignorant fool. Never shall you again cross anyone else’s path littering it with your filth and lack of swordsmanship.” She has no time to be taking on useless fools like most of her opponents. She wants someone who will fight back and have gasping for breath as she falls to the ground on her knees. But she knows that will never happen to her in her life.
The swords she has, she barely ever uses because she always ends up uses her bare hands to strangle the life out of her victims most of the time. But they are called Josphinaety, Hasraetie, and Vixsorliy. She even has a special bow carved from an ancient oak tree and arrows that never wear down and are always are ready for battle. She calls her bow Thalinaetry or great warrior in her native tongue. But if she and Elonaet were to battle alongside each other, then the Moon Elves would be undefeatable and would live on for eternity and even longer then. Elonaet’s Amhand of Mist and Juiol’s archery and both of their fantastic swordsmanship they shall not receive not even a scratch from anyone they are battling against.
When the time came to tell Elonaet about the scroll, Jolenaet had his wife Natha’ Layfa tell Elonaet for Jolenaet had to prepare his best surgeons for the task to begin in no less than 20 minutes.
Natha’ Layfa had said, “Elonaet, my sweet, strong and heroic son. There is something very important I need to tell you. We have told you about the scroll of the Moon and the Stars and how they have hidden it in a secret place that no one will ever think of looking. Well, that place is literally in your heart. Your father will remove the scroll because if it were to remain in the same place for a long time it isn’t supposed to be, it will destroy where it is hiding and will burst into flames with the place it was hidden. That will be caused by the demonic aura that surrounds it. And we do not want to lose our only son for the sake of the kingdom. So we will meet in about 5 minutes when the medicine carrier says it’s the right time to meet and take out the scroll. So go and prepare yourself for the following surgery.
Elonaet rushed to his sleeping quarters and threw off his armor of Red Fire Fox and scales of Jawdregan Scale from a powerful dragon as shoulder and thigh pads as well as a lower arm and shin pads. His shoes he had kicked off when he had entered the room. He had put on his sleepwear in the castle otherwise he slept in his armor. Then he saw the medicine carrier and his mother and father standing next to him as if something had gone wrong. But it was just Elonaet’s imagination playing tricks on him.
When he drew near he heard “Juymn ipmfh Jesaw saldf.” This has meant come and “sit down so we can begin.” He did what he was told and he was commanded to stay put and never move or he will die. He obeyed. The medicine carrier had muttered a spell, “Hudsf okfd dagend evqua.” That spell had left Elonaet paralyzed so that he wasn’t able to move even if he wanted to so that he would stay alive to fight the upcoming battle between the Elves and the Werewolves.
Elonaet was also told to fall asleep so that he didn’t see what they were doing to his heart. As soon as the carrier had opened the heart he saw the scroll and reached to grab it but something repelled him away. It was the aura. It was becoming too powerful for even the most skilled medicine man to overcome. Their only hope now was for Elonaet to grab the scroll. They woke him up, removed the paralysis and they ordered him to remove the scroll. He had reached inside his own body and pulled out a parchment of paper. It was the scroll. Now all Elonaet had to do was vanquish the demonic aura around it and then it would be safe for everyone to touch and keep hold of it.
Jolenaet had read aloud the scroll.
“The Moon and Stars can be found in a familiar place to everyone in this room. Everyone has had a battle here. The women have had parties here before. Even the children play around for hours on end just bathing, relaxing, and then falling asleep. If you can think of where this place is then you will find the Moon and the Stars.”
Everyone gave a blank look and though of all places that can be described in that certain way.
“The Jumsiyae Falls. The place where everyone has been to. There was a battle there a decade ago. When I was a young child, Father had taken me there since I was ill and the water was purifying to my health and I fell asleep after 10 minutes in the bathing part of the falls. Mother and her friends had parties there for my coronation for my swords and you can hear songs sang in Wialtr (Moon Elf Language) and there was always a woman there with several children sitting around her listening to her songs. That’s where the Moon and Stars have gone too!”
“You are correct my son. I am very impressed. I didn’t think you could remember Jumsiyae Falls.” Proudly Jolenaet had thought then said in his head after a while thought…
“Oh, I remember now. The woman there went by the name of Kilonyae’ Tonyae. And she said that the children around her were orphans that had wandered into the forest after their parents have died or were taken into slavery of the werewolves.” Replied Natha’ Layfa tilting head to the right as though she were staring into space and remembering.
“Then we shall go to Jumsiyae Falls as soon as Elonaet is prepared.” In less than 10 seconds gone by that Elonaet was heading out the front gate. Then he paused and turned and asked, “Are you coming or do I have to carry you on my back one by one?”
They all hurried to meet up with Elonaet. In thirty minutes time they had arrived to the falls and tried to remember where they had saw the mysterious women. After a long thought Jolenaet had headed off into the cave beyond the falls plowing over the edge and the rest of the group had followed. Elonaet had an uneasy feeling about this, but kept it to himself. He had followed his father into the cave and before he knew it he was standing face to face with the woman he believed to be the Moon. All around him was darkness but a small corner that had shined from it to just the outline of the children. By what he could tell there were about nine children, but maybe more.
They had stood there discussing the scroll hidden away for over a thousand years and then just was we were about to depart, she had admitted that she was the Moon and the children were indeed some of the stars. Also, she agreed to help them when the time of battle came, which was only a few days from then. They had left and the stars and Moon left with them just to ensure their safety, because now that they had been located, thousand of werewolves had picked up on her scent once again. At least with them, she still had a very good chance of living to her desire.
Now the day of the battle was finally here and everyone had been resting for the past three days so they have all the energy they needed. Also, in the past three days their allies, the vampires and the goblins had come with all the strongest weapons they had and all the armor they had from the strongest creatures.
The vampires had to sleep and ready themselves in the West wing and the goblins in the East. The vampires were very skilled at archery. They could hit a target about a mile away and kill it with the amount of force put on the arrow. Their skill at archery comes in handy when most of your warriors had good but not the best at it and the vampires did not have any skill whatsoever at swords. To them they were pointless. And they could hold it because most of them were allergic to the engraving son the swords because they were Elvin and once we did not get along with the vampires so we had our blacksmiths engrave binding spells on them and their skill would be taken away and they would become lousy at it.
The goblins were always our friends since we had helped them create their communities and villages. So, they felt the need to help us whenever we needed help, and returned the favor whenever we could. Since the goblins were a bit shorter than us, they had to bring both long and short swords.
Then all of a sudden during breakfast, we had heard someone yelling, “The time had come for us to avenge our King. We have many allies and now we are undefeatable. Just give up now, or risk your lives of your children and wives. This battle will meet in no more than two hours from now and it will be held where you have slaughtered our King.”
That’s impossible for them to kill us because we have made all of our silver and the children have been locked up ever since the day we found the Moon. So that worry was out of the way and we were all ready. We were all in our armor, weapons were attached, and we had our friends alongside of us.
We marched to the place where Elonaet had slain the King of werewolves and there we had seen a long of werewolves and only werewolves. There was not any other creature. Then as soon as we, too, were lined up along the hillside.
Then they had started charging at us and we had too. When the two forces collided there was much blood spilled, but none of it was Elven. All the blood belonged to was werewolf. Elonaet had sliced many were wolves down the slit their throats so that they couldn’t move after their blood was gushing out of their throats.
The vampires were flying high above us to where we could just barely see them. If we could barely see them, then the werewolves could not see them at all. So they had died without seeing their attacker and many had fallen to the vampires. Their arrows were fast, so they werewolves have died instantly with not any second thought.
The goblins were throwing their swords like mad because they couldn’t really see or aim at where they wanted the swords to go because of the fog and darkness. Just a couple of goblins have fallen so far, but at least they have died for a good cause. They will always be remembered for the things that they had wanted to improve which included this war.
Then all of a sudden I see this flash of light. It looks like the shine of the Moon, and then all of the werewolves in front of me fall down dead. But to me nothing has touched them. Then I see Kilonyae’ Tonyae, a.k.a. The Moon. The stars were dancing the little blades came out and sliced through some more werewolves, the swords of the goblins and the combination of the two with the elves, there are no more werewolves left on the battlefield. Or so we thought.
Then out of no where, we see at least 10,000 more werewolves rampaging over the hilltops and charging us. Juiol was summoned and she took down almost five-hundred of them in a single sweep of her Vixsorliy with the use of Ganfdolg fo Lonfgh. That move can kill up to about one thousand if used with full power. But she merely just swung her sword and they fell down dead, blood still gushing out of their necks, heads, and torso.
To us, she alone could finish up this war by herself, until one of the vampire’s arrows misses their locked on target, and hit’s her in the upper arm. They missed because now the werewolves had arrows flying up to the vampire’s and they dodged it but their arrow was off target. So it hit her straight in the upper arm when she was using the Ganfdolg fo Lonfgh and since she was hit, she didn’t stand a chance. Elonaet rushed to her side to fix the wound. He had torn some of his shirt off and tied it tightly just above the wound and used some of his magic to stop the pain and bleeding. She thanked him and went straight back to the werewolves. She used the Ganfdolg fo Lonfgh again and another group of werewolves fell dead.
Then the Moon and stars were still dancing and she was still praying or muttering an Elven spell to kill all who enter her barrier. As soon as just one werewolf had barely touched it with a hair on his arm, he was burned alive. He was screaming in agony and then he fall down dead from the extensive burning.
Jolenaet was a mighty fighter alongside Elonaet and Juiol. Elonaet had used Lillithy the most because he did not want to kill all of his comrades because of one move so he used Lillithy’s technique of Havadi’Relacani. He used it so often that he didn’t have to say the move he wanted. It just happened automatically. Jolenaet had a sword called Rifgnakklaey. He used a technique called Giasdjd’ hae Jaeur. That technique was very powerful. It would deliver first a shock, then an even bigger shock, then it would use lightning from the sky to electrify them to a crisp and nothing was left of them. He especially like this move because it went slowly and it was a very powerful move had shown ownership of the sword. It showed the sword that he was in charge, because Tifgnakklaey was a very temperamental sword and sometimes it would act of its own accord if it wanted to fry the enemy, but Jolenaet wouldn’t let his sword kill everyone just because of a minor mistake.
Elonaet, Juiol, and he were few of the mightiest warriors in the land. By the looks of it, there was not much more battle to last another day. This battle had gone on for about 3 weeks so far and no on e knows who will be left alive or those who would will die when it is done. Not even the fortune teller can tell the out come of the war. For if he would, then the victor would feel no need to go all power and would slouch and leave the other opponent the victor. And at the look of this battle now, both sides are evenly matched.
“We need…to destroy…the source of…their power…somehow.” Screamed Elonaet from across the battlefield.
“I know…where it…is!” yelled back Juiol.
“Where…is it…the.?”
“It’s at their healing camps, in the tent that the ruler now sits and watches his people die.”
“Then we leave as soon as we both aren’t being chased after.”
“Okay, when I saw ‘ni’, we leave. Got it, Elonaet?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, ready?”
“Yeah”
“NI!!”
They had dashed off into the distance toward the ruler’s tent and they had reached it in a matter of seconds. They had to fight their way there and while running. To them, it was quite easy, but to any other warrior, they would have to stop running and then fight, but to Elonaet and Juiol, they were still running and fighting at the same time.
“We have to get there and quick or he will send even more power to the werewolves and our species will die out.”
“I know. You don’t have to remind me.”
“Fine but remember that…”
“I KNOW.”
“Fine then you can do it on your own I’ll just watch.”
“No, I’m sorry I snapped at you. I want you to help me. PLEASE?”
“Fine, but don’t tell me what I already know. I’ve been in this kind of battle before and I know what I’m talking about.”
“okay, I’m sorry.”
They are doing this all while they are running. They are very argumentative when it comes to these kinds of situations.
When they finally reach the tent where the ruler is, he has about a thousand of bodyguards. Elonaet let Juiol have this group and he took on the guards closest to the ruler and within minutes, the ruler is defenseless. They take hold of the staff that he has, and Juiol says that it has the power over all the werewolves.
Elonaet destroys the staff with his most powerful sword, the Rikalinae. He uses the Amhand of the Mist very weakly but to where the ruler is destroyed with the staff. Now the battle should be equal, or a tad more equal to the Elves.
When Juiol and Elonaet returned, there a few werewolves left, but they are the strongest ones yet. These werewolves have swords, bows and arrows, and magic this time so it will take all of the vampire’s, goblin’s, and elves’ power to defeat them. The werewolves also have barriers against everything except the powers of the swords. Jolenaet, Elonaet, and Juiol use all of their most powerful swords. Elonaet, the Rikalinae, Jolenaet, the Tifgnakklaey, and Juiol, the Hasraetie. They also use their most powerful techniques. Elonaet, the Amhand of the Mist. Jolenaet, the Giasdjd’ hae Jaeur, and Juiol the Fetinsetir lod Juotae. With all three of these weapons combined, they can kill even the most powerful enemies.
“On three, we summon all of the techniques and send them as one, Okay?”
“Yes.” They both replied at the same time.
“Okay. One…Two…Three. GO!!!!”
They all summoned them and sent them as one. The werewolves stood their ground. First, the barriers disintegrated, and then the skin melted away, and after there weren’t anymore werewolves to fight and the Elves, Goblins, and Vampires have won the battle.
They all went back to the castle and had a celebration party for their victory. And they had proved the fortune teller wrong, not just one species survived, but three.
That battle, all of the people that had fought had found what they were really made of. Friendship, courage, and above all, bravery.
